2008 Radiothon For Kids: 107.7 The Bone Rocked Children’s Hospital

For three days in April, with the help of over 300 volunteers, Children’s Outpatient Center was transformed into a radio studio. Station 107.7 The Bone broadcast live from Children’s Hospital to raise funds and increase the public’s awareness of the amazing work going on at Children’s Hospital every day.

Listeners heard inspiring stories of strength and healing told by grateful families and patients whose lives have been directly impacted by the help of Children’s Hospital medical care. Radiothon delivers stories that show what an amazing place Children's Hospital Oakland is. We'd like to thank the parents and kids that shared their very personal stories with Lamont & Tonelli and Seaweed from 107.7 The Bone.

Every dollar raised during the Radiothon benefits children throughout Northern California who rely on the expert care provided at Children’s Hospital. This year, donors from across the state reached deep into their pockets to show their support. Through online and telephone donations the Radiothon raised over $350,000 for Children’s Hospital.

The Radiothon event is only possible through the generous support of 107.7 The Bone and the many businesses and individuals who sign up to volunteer, and of course, our many generous donors. Best Buy stores was a big supporter sending teams of employees to answer phones and donating lots of electronic products to the hospital. We also received generous support from the volunteers from Kohl’s Department Stores, Cresco Equipment Rental, Blockbluster Video, and Round Table Pizza.
