Coire Reilly has been working on affordable housing, healthy planning, and community education since moving to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2004. He currently manages the Injury Prevention and Physical Activity Promotion Project at Contra Costa Health Services. There he oversees the Safe Routes to School Program—which establishes walking school buses (daily organized walks to school) at local elementary schools and trains youth on safe walking and bicycling habits—and the Built Environment Program—which works with local jurisdictions, stakeholders, and community groups to develop and implement healthy policies and smart growth strategies.
