Cynthia provides innovative disaster planning, practical solutions and training conferences for hospitals, clinics, and other health care partners. Her Public Health leadership planning projects focus on effective emergency management, vision leadership and pediatric medical surge plans. Her philosophy incorporates a vision to create viable operational plans; strengthen foundation infra-structure organization capability; build ongoing partnerships and assets; integrate the public/ private sector with communities; and facilitate leadership accountability and sustainability. She is participating on the California Emergency Medical Services Authority for Children Coordinators Group and regional disaster planning committees. Working for Alameda County EMS since 1989, her emphasis is hospital and prehospital preparedness for pediatric patients, “At Risk” / vulnerable populations and children in disasters. With 25 years of experience consulting in disaster preparedness in Washington and California, her projects emphasize building pediatric capability, capacity, and self-sufficiency with effective management response. Cynthia received her BSN from the University of Virginia and Masters of Nursing from the University of Washington.
